Jonathan Fisher QC to be speaker at a 2015 Breakfast Seminar hosted by Devereux Chambers

Devereux Chambers are hosting a series of Breakfast Seminars at the start of 2015 to discuss some of the issues that arise in respect of sanctions and their impact on clients’ operations.

Jonathan Fisher will be discussing ‘The application of the anti-circumvention provisions in sanction cases’ at a morning seminar on 4th March 2015. Jonathan will consider what type of conduct is caught by the anti-circumvention criminal offence in EU sanctions legislation.

The seminars are targeted at senior solicitors (at partner or equivalent in-house level) who practice in the sanctions field or whose work may be impacted by sanctions. The seminar is offered at no cost but spaces are limited.

The impact of sanctions on business is potentially significant: they can disrupt the performance of contracts, give rise to money-laundering and reporting obligations, and even impact on how groups structure their operations.

The seminar will be held at Devereux Chambers in London starting at 8.15am and is scheduled to finish at 9.30am.

If you wish to attend please email Wing Lau by 25th February 2015.
