Anti-corruption and the National Crime Agency

Jonathan Fisher QC was quoted yesterday (10 October 2013) in the Financial Times commenting on the policy document published by the new National Crime Agency which addressed, amongst other things, the new strategy on fighting domestic and foreign corruption.

With other agencies such as the Serious Fraud Office and the Financial Conduct Authority also taking an interest in disrupting corrupt practices, Jonathan said that there is some concern here about the possibility of a turf war. “There’s a risk of a multiplicity of agencies and a serious risk that something will fall through the cracks”.
