Bright Line Law holds Two Silk Briefing in Manchester

On 7 August 2018, Bright Line Law held a Two Silk Briefing in Manchester on Corporate ‘Failure to Prevent’ Offences after Skansen. Held at The Lowry Hotel, Jonathan Fisher QC and Nicholas Johnson QC spoke about the ‘failure to prevent’ framework in the Bribery Act 2010 and what could be learnt from the CPS’s first successful prosecution of a company for failing to prevent bribery. The event brought together fifty legal practitioners from Manchester, Leeds and Liverpool and topics discussed included the timing of self-reports, what constitutes adequate procedures and what constitutes reasonable procedures and the scope for personal director liability. Thank you to all those in attendance!
