The way in which an insolvent company handles its affairs has recently received a considerable amount of scrutiny. There is growing concern that certain practices allow failing businesses to bypass payment of their creditors on insolvency and enable their directors to continue trading in the same fields, using new companies with similar names to their insolvent predecessors.
