On 11 December 2020 in Bermuda’s Parliament, the Attorney General of Bermuda and Minister of Legal Affairs and Constitutional Reform, the Hon. Kathy Lynn Simmons, JP, MP, made a congratulatory speech regarding the publication of Ariana Caines’ case commentary on AA v Persons Unknown [2020] Lloyd’s Rep. FC 127. The Attorney General acknowledged Ariana’s work on cryptoassets’ relationship with financial crime and noted the pride her native Bermuda could take in her efforts. The Leader of the Bermuda’s Opposition, the Hon. N. H. Cole Simons, JP, MP, later associated with the Attorney General’s remarks.
Ariana practises in criminal cases and is developing a specialist financial crime practice. She has a special interest in financial crime matters pertaining to cryptoassets.
